The photography of all the Bring and Buy donations is complete, and you can see four of the best, selected for advance press publicity, above on the front page.
The full set of images taken by Eisuke will be posted to the site on September 8, just as i-D goes on sale. This gives us time between now and then to catalogue all the donations with descriptions of each item, before they are then packed and shipped to Oxfam’s warehouse. The 7 day eBay auction starts on September 18 and finishes on the 25th.
So, in deciding which of the remaining and equally impressive images to attach here, I have selected these Vans pink fluffy slippers so that I can also complete a trilogy of pointless childhood television references with a tenuous blog mention of Bagpuss, of which of course I am reminded. Apparently, the eponymous existentialist saggy cloth cat was meant to be marmalade coloured, but when the fabric arrived it turned out to be pink! The designer decided to go with it, and we loved him. Very much how creative decisions are arrived at around here too.
