The fluttering wings of a bird of prey hang over the mouth of the catwalk, gradually whipping up a frenzy to begin a collection 'inspired by extreme glamour'.
On arrival at Alexander McQueen's show, the venue is thick with the smell of Fracas. That's not me being poetic: it's the fragrance Isabella Blow used to wear. And the first hint that tonight's collection will be a homage to the departed fashion editor...
Martine Sitbon gets a big applause for a collection of light, colourful and sometimes metallic or irridescent dresses, which is what they love her for.
Thierry Dreyfus is doing the lighting for Martine Sitbon's Rue du Mail show. I'm sitting waiting for it to start, basking in glow of his colour scheme.
