Nick has completed the first test, see picture. Naomi will now come back out and try a range of different poses. The scanner is currently capturing her full body and head but later there will be a specific head scan to capture her features in more detail.

The live stream will be down for a few minutes while we reposition the camera. The 3D scanners need a white background so the studio is being adapted.

in the studio, Simon is helping the 3D scanning team calibrate the
scanner. Naomi should hopefully be making her entrance in just under one
hour.

Our trusted contributor Stephen Jones contacted us yesterday to point out that any commerical spectacle on the part of Dita Von Teese in Miami was actually part of quite an interesting history of AIDS support from the company MAC, who has in fact embraced an alternative set of sexual politics... Perusing fashion websites can prove a pleasantly repetitive pursuit for any December afternoon. Today’s discovery of Boudicca’s vast online reliquary of art and fashion inspirations, however, demanded more than just a quick thumbnailing.
Boudicca, as you all know, was the original British Amazon – an ancient warrior queen who led the... [more]
With the Christmas posting date looming, all SHOWstudio hands are on deck signing our Christmas cards.
Filmed as a personal thank-you to the wonderful Les Childs who prepared everyone for the Bal Masqué with dance lessons, Nick Knight and Charlotte Wheeler perform the intricate waltz choreographed by Childs for the Möet Tribute.

It has been noted within the hallowed house of SHOWstudio that the rather tantalising post from Miami last week of an almost invisible stage cloaked in darkness announcing the impending performance of the burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, followed by.... nothing, was in itself a bit of a tease. So... [more]

Though he's not in town to participate in Twelve Days himself, friend of the Swarovski figurine Jason Evans sent us a CD of the recent Four Tet remixes -whose inside booklet and cover he adorned with the said crystals- by way of remote participation.
Ceal Floyer's series of objects placed in the circular apertures of a Helix measuring device caught my eye on 303 Gallery's stand in Miami. The objects have a suggestion of autobiography, but presented with unsentimental rigour.
