Buttocklifting
1974, is the title of this work on the door to a special Joseph Beuys room at the Museum Szutuki in Lodz, where all the Villa Warsaw participants have been invited today. A very special institution it was formed in the 1930s exclusively from artist's gifts, and has an exceptional collection of Polish avant-garde.Beuys re-entered this artist-led tradition in 1980 by sending a crate of his own work as a gift to the museum in support of Polish Solidarity, entitled simply 'Transport Poland'.
I appear to have b*ggered up a little and completely missed this, how I am not quite sure, but could someone please provide me with a bit of info so I can bodge together a last minute piece, possibly a link to some pictures, ideally high resolution, and maybe a comical anecdote or two. Please, I apologise for everything bad I have ever done and promise to make it up in whatever way desired.
